Sometimes you want to lend a helping hand. Sometimes you need to. Sometimes people ask for that help. Tonight was one of those nights. One of my work colleagues has a daughter who was in a terrible car accident about 6 weeks ago. Thankfully, the outlook is positive, but it will be a long road to get to full recovery. She’s still in the hospital now and will likely be there for some time. Obviously the emotional toll on the family is unimaginable, but there’s also the financial toll. Friends and family pulled together to hold a fundraising event for the family. They had several items that were being raffled off and you could buy tickets to put in the boxes for the corresponding items you wanted to win. They also had a silent auction of several items that people could bid on. This is a picture of a young woman contemplating where to place her raffle tickets. I hope they were able to raise lots of money and most importantly, that Faith (fittingly, that’s her name) has a full, healthy recovery.
