Day 249 – September 6 Victoria Falls, Zimababwe

On the third full day in Zambia my two friends and I took a cab to the bridge that connects Zambia and Zimbabwe and walked across, watching a few crazy bungi jumpers along the way (yes, I’m serious).  We made our way to view Victoria Falls from the Zim side and it was most certainly breathtaking.  The challenge I found was that I really wished I had a wide-angle lens for that time.  The Falls are enormous, not only with the depth of them, but how they seem to go on forever.  You can’t see all of the Falls from the Zimbabwe side nor the Zambia side for that very reason.  We explored the falls, then went for a beverage at a local lodge and enjoyed watching wildlife before attending high tea at the Victoria Falls Lodge.  The VF Lodge is a historic lodge and they’re known for high tea.  Check out the “spread” we got!  🙂
