Day 312 – November 8 Perfect Light

The photographers out there all know that there are two really wonderful times of the day to take photographs.  The first is as the sun is rising.  The soft glow just before the sun comes up is beautiful and can provide stunning images for portraits.  The second time is just after the sun sets.  The magical hour, as they call it.  The blues from the sky are soft and subtle, the lights aren’t too overpowering and everything just seems to set into place.  I took this photograph just off from the Financial District in the south pier area.  There just happened to be a few large boats docked and the lights from the city were just starting to come on.  This photo has hardly any editing.  It was truly a gorgeous time of the day!
